Summer has arrived, and with it comes sunshine, stories, and sensational events at your library! Whether you're soaking up the sun or seeking shade with a good book, we have something for everyone this June.
 
Our Summer Reading Program kicks off today, June 1, inviting readers of all ages to explore new worlds, earn rewards, and celebrate the joy of reading. From adventurous reading challenges to special events and creative workshops, there's a full calendar of excitement waiting for you — perfect ways to stay cool and connected all summer long. Summer Reading Program is Here!
Get ready for a summer of reading adventures at Cedarburg Public Library! Our Summer Reading Program is back with the theme LEVEL UP AT YOUR LIBRARY for children & teens, and The Big Book Bop for Adults.

Running from June 1 to July 31, our Summer Reading Program is packed with fun activities and prizes for all ages: pre-reader, school age, teen & young adult, adult.
 
Visit the library station at the Summer Kick-off Event in Cedar Creek Park on Saturday, June 14, 10am-1pm.

Free for All: The Public Library
You know us, you love us, now find out how our public libraries came to be a sanctuary for Americans everywhere. Join us for a screening (+ community-driven conversation + light refreshments + a prize drawing) of Independent Lens’ Free for All: The Public Library on June 3 at 1pm.

The Push & Pull of the Soul
Join Professor Karri L. Fritz-Klaus as she delves into the rich, dreamlike world of artist Marc Chagall. Titled "The Push and Pull of the Soul", this inspiring and thought-provoking talk explores the emotional, spiritual, and symbolic layers that define Chagall’s work.

Take a nostalgic trip back in time as Joel, Director of the Cedarburg History Museum, shares stories and snapshots of life in Cedarburg during the 1950s and 1960s! From local hangouts to memorable moments, discover how our community grooved through the decades featured in the museum’s current exhibit, Nifty '50s and Swinging '60s of Cedarburg.

Kick off to Summer at Cedar Creek Park. Join as we celebrate the start of summer! There will be bounce houses, glitter tattoo painting, balloon twisting, food and more! Visit the library’s tent and register for 2025's summer reading program.

A summer book club where you can join us for a listening corner session where favorite stories come to life through Audiobooks. Each week, tune in to different segments of the mystery-adventure book, 39 Clues: The Maze of Bones by Rick Riordan. Arts and crafts stations will be available. For ages 10+.

In this workshop you’ll explore the art of creating your own fantasy maps while diving into essential elements like world-building, landforms, map symbols, and illustration techniques. Whether you're crafting a setting for a tabletop game, designing a board game, or simply making art for fun, this hands-on session is for you! All supplies are included, though you're welcome to bring your own.

D&D One-Shot Adventure with Game Universe - Mequon.
Welcome to an adventure in a fantasy setting, where players work together to overcome obstacles and defeat monsters. This program will include building your own character and a “one-shot” adventure, beginning and ending in one day, with the guidance of some talented Dungeon Masters. For ages 12-18. Zero experience necessary. 
Registration required and opens June 13.
