Cedarburg Friends of the Library is excited to share our upcoming fundraisers and events. Thank you for being a part of our vibrant community and supporting our library.

New Fortune's Dine Out Do Good - Thursday, September 25

Take the evening off of cooking and dine in or take out from New Fortune on Thursday, September 25.

A portion of sales from this day will be donated back to the Cedarburg Friends of the Library.

Wisconsin's Gangster Past: A History - Thursday, September 25

Join author, researcher, and lecturer Chad Lewis for a captivating journey into the dark and unexpected side of Wisconsin history. In this fascinating presentation, he shines a spotlight on Wisconsin’s connections to infamous gangsters of the past—exploring stories of crime, corruption, and the legendary figures who once found refuge in the Badger State.

Used Book Sale: October 2-5

Our Fall Used Book Sale runs Thursday, October 2 - Sunday, October 5, during library opening hours.

For sale: hard cover books, trade and paperbacks, puzzles, DVDs and CDs. You'll be amazed what interesting finds you can buy - at (mostly) only $1 a book!

If you have any donations for the sale, please drop off in the bins on the first floor of the library this week. All donations are tax-deductible.

Dine to Donate with Out & Out - Wednesday, October 8

Anyone for Mac n' Cheese? Or other delicious delights from Out & Out? If so, visit on Wednesday, October 8 and help out the library with a donation from a portion of the sales.

Cedarburg Reads Author Event - Thursday, October 9

This year's Cedarburg Reads book selection is The Drifter by Nick Petrie, the first book in his Peter Ash series.

Join us in welcoming Nick to Cedarburg on Thursday, October 9th at the Cedarburg Cultural Center (NOT the library) from 6:30-8:00pm.

Copies of the book are available at the library for checkout.

Cedarburg Writes Awards Ceremony & Author Event with Nick Petrie

6:30-6:45 PM: Awards Presentation
6:45-7:50 PM: Author Talk with Nick Petrie
7:50 PM: Book Signing. Bring your own copy or purchase one at the event (cash only).
This event is FREE and open to the public.

Cedarburg Friends of the Library Meetings

Monthly meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month in the CPL Community Room - check the CPL website's events calendar for dates. Meetings are open to the public. We welcome new volunteers to help with our community events, book sales & fundraisers.

The Cedarburg Friends of the Library is a vibrant group of public-spirited citizens dedicated to supporting the Cedarburg Public Library through volunteer support and fundraising. In 2024, the Friends' fundraising allowed for the purchase of additional items for the Tinker Lab and Library of Things, funded both the children's and adult summer reading programs, the Great Decisions program, Cedarburg Reads and Writes Community Events, the CPL Podcasts with CPL Radio and, of course, more books (including additional best sellers and new books for the Lucky Day shelves)!
