The Friends are a dedicated group of local individuals who support and enhance the library’s services, programs and resources. Donations - Thank you!

Thank you to all who made donations to the library in 2024. Whether it was used books, magazines or puzzle donations, purchases at our book sale or Buy the Book store, your volunteer time or monetary donations, we appreciate you! Through your support, we will continue to fund the popular programs at the library and, of course, buy more books!

From a generous donation from the Stoffel Family in memory of their mother, Beverly D. Stoffel, we were able to purchase several new children's books and adult mystery books. Thank you Stoffel family!

TOAST Cedarburg Dining to Donate - February 8

Join us at TOAST Cedarburg for a delicious breakfast, brunch or lunch on February 8. Check out their menu here.

A portion of sales from this day will be donated back to the Cedarburg Friends of the Library.

Used Book Sale: February 10 - 15

Our Winter Used Book Sale runs Monday, February 10th through Saturday, February 15th, during library opening hours.

For sale: hardcover books, trade and paperbacks, puzzles, DVDs and CDs. Stop in to see what interesting finds you can buy - at (mostly) only $1 a book!

If you have any donations for the sale, please drop off in the bins on the first floor of the library. All donations are tax-deductible.

Cribbage Tournament - Save the Date!

Cribbage Anyone?
If you enjoy playing cribbage, then grab a partner and join the fun at the first annual doubles cribbage tournament hosted by the Friends. The event will be held Sat. Apr. 26, from 1 to 4 pm at the Peter Wollner American Legion Hall, Cedarburg.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams and for high hand. Registration, at $40 per team of two players, opens mid February at cedarburglibrary.org.

Buy the Book Store's New Look

The Friends have been hard at work revamping and redecorating our Used Book Store, housed in the lobby of the library. If you haven't had a chance to stop in, check it out during library hours. You don't have to wait for the big used book sales anymore to find a great book or puzzle at a great price!

Please note: we are always looking for donations, so if you are clearing out these items from your home, please remember the library! All donations are tax-deductible.

Cedarburg Friends of the Library Meetings

Monthly meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month in the CPL Community Room - check the CPL website's events calendar for meeting dates. Meetings are open to the public. We would love to welcome you to our group!

The Cedarburg Friends of the Library is a vibrant group of public-spirited citizens dedicated to supporting the Cedarburg Public Library through volunteer support and fundraising. In 2024 the Friends' fundraising allowed for the purchase of additional items for the Tinker Lab, Maker Space and Library of Things, funded both the children's and adult summer reading programs, the Great Decisions program, Cedarburg Reads and Writes Community Events, the CPL Radio station and, of course, more books (including additional best sellers and new books for the Lucky Day section)!
