Meet Michael Perry: Author Spotlight

You may know Michael Perry as a bestselling author. But did you know he’s also a humorist, speaker, registered nurse, volunteer firefighter, first responder, songwriter, audiobook narrator, scriptwriter—and amateur snowplow driver? A lifelong Midwesterner, Perry has spent his career turning the everyday experiences of rural Wisconsin life into stories that make people laugh, nod, think, and sometimes get a little misty. He’s the author of more than 25 books, including Population 485, Truck: A Love Story, Forty Acres Deep, and Peaceful Persistence.

 

At our October 8 Cedarburg Reads author talk, Perry will be talking about his latest book, Improbable Mentors & Happy Tangents: How firefighters and poets, truckers and nurses, soldiers and singers, and other improbable individuals can show you the way in business and creativity.

 

And here's the part that makes his return to Cedarburg extra special: Michael Perry was the VERY FIRST Cedarburg Reads author! Now he’s coming back to Cedarburg for another evening of stories, humor, insight, and inspiration—and we can’t wait.
